Everton Appoint Carlo Ancelotti New Head Coach

Carlo Ancelotti has returned to management as Everton finally confirmed his appointment as the team's new manager after signing a four-and-a-half-year deal with the club.

The 60-year-old was made redundant after being given the boots at Napoli following a winless streak that lasted for ten successive games and was replaced by Gennaro Gattuso. Meanwhile, the Italian's joblessness will be shortlived as he was linked to Arsenal and Everton, but Gunners opted for their former player Mikel Arteta and appointed him as its new head coach.

Since Marco Silva was sacked at Everton, Duncan Ferguson as been acting in his capacity as the interim head coach and managed to lead the team to beat Chelsea and a draw with Manchester United. Unfortunately, that performance was greeted with an exit from EFL Carabao Cup in the quarter-final after a defeat to Leicester City on penalties on Wednesday.

Nevertheless, it is understood that the club's new manager will keep Ferguson in his role as an assistant and will be working together with his son, Davido Ancelotti, in the same capacity.
