Europa League: Manchester United Advance To Knockout Stages With Big Win Over AZ Alkmaar

Manchester United earned well-deserved maximum points with an emphatic 4-0 win over AZ Alkmaar with Mason Greenwood scoring twice to lead the side to the knockout stages.

Juan Mata played a significant role in the victory making three assists before converting a penalty drawn by Greenwood before the teenager completed the scoring that led United to come out atop with 13 points and Alkmaar followed in second place despite the loss with nine points.

United did not find the goal post and register an opener until after the break and Ashley Youngest finished out Juan Mata's attempted shot to give the side the lead. Five minutes later, Mason punished the Dutch side's defensive error and smacked home a right-footed shot to double the lead.

Juan finished off penalty drawn by Greenwood for the third goal and assisted in the winning goal with a pass to the 19-year-old England international to drill home from inside the box.

Greenwood finished the game as the youngest player ever to score a brace for Manchester United in European competition and Ashley Youngest scored his first goal in a continental game since 2012.
