Camila Cabello Addresses Alleged Racist Slurs
Little did Camila Cabello know that she has walked herself into controversies over past comments that were racist and now that those comments resurfaced online, she did not dispute her wrongdoings and admitted she is "deeply ashamed" of them all.
Less to her expectations, the allegedly racist comments which she posted on Tumblr suddenly resurfaced on Twitter but was later taken down. Still, she deemed it necessary to address the issues and responded in a quite lengthy update on her Twitter page.
Addressing her past racial slurs, she started off explaining naivety of what could mean to anybody reading through her post on the social media network, explaining that she was "young" at the time. However, one thing she will always regret the language used.
She added, "I'm 22 now, I'm an adult, and I've grown and learned and am conscious and aware of the history and the pain it carries it in a way I wasn't before."
No doubt she wanted everyone to know that at the time she was posting those comments, she was definitely "ignorant and unaware" of the consequences. She wrote: "I can't say enough how deeply sorry and ashamed I feel, and I apologize again from the bottom of my heart."
