Anthony Joshua Reclaims Heavyweight Titles After Beating Andy Ruiz Jr.

Anthony Joshua has reclaimed his lost boxing glory but outlasting Andy Ruiz Jr. to reclaim his heavyweight championship titles from the Mexican-American in their rematch fight in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

The victory did not come from a knockout as most would have anticipated as both fighters slugged it out until the 12th round when Joshua was declared the winner in two scores of 118-110 and 119-109

Ruiz though undermined for having to have gained 10 stone, yet he was capable of doing damages to Joshua's reputation as he almost knockdown him in the fourth round but the Briton avoid going down and maintained his stamina.

Andy Ruiz Jr. threatened AJ with a right jab in the fourth round

Ruiz was no doubt dangerous and like he was called in the first a "destroyer". If he had his way he would again in the eighth round but the new heavyweight champion would not fall for getting punched in the head like he did in June.

Having said that, for the most part of the fight, Joshua kept a good range to avoid getting stunned yet again and that gave him the advantage over the Ruiz who got a bloodied eye from the fight. Joshua also had a bloodied eye.

"I want to thank God and I want to say bismillah (an Arabic word)," said Joshua. "I want to say 'the first fight was so nice, I had to do it twice."

Joshua has now reclaimed the IBF, WBO, and WBA heavyweight titles he lost in a knockout by the California-native in June at Madison Square in New York.
