Anthony Joshua Promised To Beat Tyson Fury In Sparring

If there is a fight that is highly anticipated for Anthony Joshua, it is the bout between him and Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder. Even, Joshua knows that and has called for sparring Tyson to beat him for the first time.

For a while now, the two-time heavyweight champion has been talking about about engaging Tyson in a sparring and the Gypsy king has a rematch with Wilder on 22 February which is expected to be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Texas.

But why would Joshua want to spar with Tyson? Thhe 30-year-old clarified that it is helpful to him and can serve as a build up to the rematch with Wilder.

"It's all for experience at the end of the day," Joshua told Sky Sports News. "What I learnt from myself and who I am - if I make a mistake once, I don't make it again."

Anthony Joshua regained heavyweight titles in rematch fight against Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia

Joshua reclaimed the IBF, WBA  WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles in the rematch with Mexican American boxer Andy Ruiz Jr. in Saudi Arabia early this month. Ruiz rose to fame in June when he stunned the Briton with a seventh-round knockout at Madison Square in New York.

Joshua clarified further that having a spar with his fellow Briton is for mutual benefit as it will help him in his build up against Wilder and also afford him the opportunity to be in the ring against him for the first time.

He added, "Everyone talks from their own experiences and I can only talk from my own. So, When I say I'll go and spar Fury, it's because I have a plan in my mind that no one will really understand. I'll beat him."
