Zlatan Ibrahimovic Moves To Swedish Side Hammarby, Becomes Club's Co-owner
Zlatan Ibramohimov may have just settled his quest to return to playing football after leaving LA Galaxy as he has become a co-owner of a Swedish club Hammarby.
There are speculations that former Manchester United striker eyes a return to Europe after completing his spell in the United States and was linked to Tottenham Hotspur amongst many others, eventually his hope of joining Spurs was dashed as Jose Mourinho said there "no chance" at the club.
Ibrahimovic acquired a 50 percent stake in the Swedish club which is owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), who are also owners of his former club, La Galaxy. The 38-year-old has also joined the club as a player to continuing his footballing career.
"I have always liked the club and the fans," said Ibrahimovic. "Being able to join and develop Hammarby forward feels both fun and exciting."
The former Galaxy striker also announced his move to the Swedish club in a clip uploaded to his Instagram account which showed a jersey with his name printed on.
Speaking on the move and co-ownership by the Ibrahimovic, the club chairman Richard Von Yxkull described it as an "exciting" development and one that is just right for a club that "have had a strong development in recent years and next year we play in Europe."
