Will.i.am Accuses Air Hostess Of Racism For Calling Police On Him
Racism, not the kind of treatment iconic hip hop artist like Will.i.am would expect to get from anyone considering being a star figure but a Qantas flight attendant did and even called police on him.
The Black Eyed Peas rapper revealed an in-flight ordeal with an attendant that racially abused him for wearing noise-canceling headphones when making an announcement. He did challenge her for being rude with a racist undertone and on his arrival at the destination, Sydney, she called the police to get him arrested. Meanwhile, he was in the company of his music team on a trip from Brisbane.
Will could not afford to be quiet for how he was treated by the attendant and took to his social media pages to voice out his frustrations, he wrote: "I'm currently on a flight from Brisbane to Sydney. I'm sorry to say me and my group have experienced they worse service due an overly aggressive flight attendant. I don't want to believe she racist."
Mind you, Will complied with her instruction when she approached him to take off the headphones as stated in his tweet and having to call five policemen to have him arrested because she felt threatened, made him think this is outrightly a racist act but would not want to believe she is one.
Thankfully, he revealed he had witnesses, in the person of other passengers, who pleaded with the police and testified that he has not done anything wrong to the attendant. He even accompanied the tweet with the police picture.
He added, "Thank God the other passengers testified that SHE was out of control. The police finally let me go. Imagine if the police were as aggressive as [her]."
