Toronto Raptors Interrupt Los Angeles Lakers Unbeaten Run

Los Angeles Lakers have maintained a stunning winning run for seven consecutive games until hosting Toronto Raptors at Staples Center on Sunday night. The NBA Championship defenders snapped Lakers' streak by 104-113 as Pascal Siakam posted up a double-double of 24 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.

For the last four years, Raptors have retained dominant over Lakers and now have a clean sheet of ten consecutive victories over them. They improved 7-2 to hold on to the second position in the Eastern Conference.

Anthony Davis picked up the most scoring with 27 points, eight rebounds, and three assists whilst LeBron James extended his triple-double streak to fourth in the season and finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 15 assists, but both players could not keep the Canadian side at bay when they rallied from 10-point down and wiped off their lead by the end of the third quarter.

Siakam Pascal makes a dunk on Kyle Kuzma

Lakers soon found themselves trailing by 11 points in the decider with 3:50 minutes remaining. Kyle Kuzma should have been Lakers' saviour of the night but failed to knock down two vital three-pointers after connecting double threes back-to-back to trim down the deficit to 104-100.

The last part of the game saw a series of misses that eventually cost Laker the game as Raptors moved on to wrapped the game up for the second win in a row.

"Playing hard is the most important thing, and that's what we did," said Siakam afterward. "Everyone is understanding their role and playing to their strength."

Kuzma finished the game with 15 points and five rebounds for his second double-figure scoring since returning from injury. Raptors' Fred VanVleet recorded was another big scoring with 23 points, seven rebounds, and ten assists for a double-double.
