Rolex Paris Masters: Novak Djokovic Beat Denis Shapovalov To Win Fifth Title

Novak Djokovic has emerged as the winner of Rolex Paris Masters after routing Denis Shapovalov in the final in straight sets, 6-3 6-4.

The final was Djokovic's 50th career ATP Masters 1000 matches and his fifth title at the tournament, making him the event's biggest winner.

Shapovalov reached the final after Rafael Nadal pulled out in the semi-finals because of a stomach injury he picked up during practice but did not last longer than an hour and five minutes with the top-seeded player.

The Canadian who won his first career title Stockholm Open saved two of the four break points faced against Djokovic but could not convert his only break point in the second set.

Having won his 34th ATP Masters 1000 title, the Serb is second in the list of all time biggest Masters winners behind Rafael Nadal who leads with 34 titles.
