NBA: LeBron James Puts Up Triple-Double For Los Angeles Lakers In OT Win Over Dallas Mavericks
It was a remarkable night for LeBron James as he posted 39 points, 12 rebounds, and 16 assists his first triple-double of the season and led Los Angeles Lakers through to improve 4-1.
Lakers could have conceded their second game on the road to Dallas Mavericks but thanks to Danny Green's three-point shot on the buzzer than pushed the game into overtime and Lakers made use of it to outclass the host team by 119-110.
Anthony Davis also added up a 30-point scoring streak on the stats - 31 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. The combination of the newly-signed and LeBron, for now, is working out incredibly well for the team otherwise, Mavericks were off to take the victory having successfully kept Lakers in the trail until the fourth quarter.
Likewise, Mavericks' point guard Luka Doncic added a 30-point scoring streak up the stats. He finished with a triple-double of 31 points, 13 rebounds, and 15 assists for his second triple-double of the season.
LeBron began an offensive against the Luka Doncic-led side in the third quarter and knocked down triple threes to move up in the lead but was shortlived as Mavericks pushed back to end the quarter with a nine-point lead, 76-85.
Nevertheless, the fourth quarter was LeBron's in terms of his contributions and a good decision he made to set Danny Green off for a three-point shot instead of making a dunk tied the scoring at the buzzer in the fourth. He remained the powerhouse in the overtime and responded to Doncic's attempt to lead Mavericks on a rally with a three-point for a comfortable that culminated in the victory.
Mavericks had five of their players posting up double-digit scoring but unfortunately would have to settle for defeat and the second after losing to Portland TrailBlazer last Sunday.
