Manchester City Winger Leroy Sane Links To Bayern Munich As Club Rekindle Interest
Leroy Sane might be set to leave Manchester City for a move to Bayern Munich despite knee injury spell as the Bundesliga side rekindled interest and might potentially make an offer for him the latest in summer.
Bayern have been linked to the winger since summer but relinquished move for him following an injury he picked up in the FA Community Shield final match against Liverpool in August - he left the pitch in the first half and was diagnosed with a ruptured cruciate ligament in his right knee.
No doubt, Sane will be missed in the team for his contributions to their league title run last season and City are understood to have commenced the search for his replacement and found Real Sociedad's Mikel Oyarzabal as suitable.
There are speculations that Bayern might want to wait until summer to make an offer because his valuation is expected to have dropped from the £137million City previously demanded. Sane is also reportedly to making an effort to recover soon, receiving treatments in the United States for his injury and the expectation is that he should be ready to return by March latest.
The German international, 22, joined City for £42 million from Schalke in 2014. He has until 2021 before running out of contract with the Premier League title defender and there are no indications he would like to remain at the club he scored 39 goals in 134 appearances for.
