Manchester City In Talks With Raheem Sterling Over New Contract


Manchester City reportedly are in talks with their attacking midfielder Raheem Sterling over a contract extension that will see him stay much longer at the club.

Sterling moved to City from Liverpool in a deal worth £44 million in 2015 and extended it further for yet another five years in November last year which is set until 2023.

Nevertheless, the 24-year-old has proven to be worthy of the deal considering his contributions to the team the won a domestical treble last season and that is not to mention that they defended Premier League title to be champions back-to-back win (2017/18, 201/19).

The England international is believed to earn more than he currently receives from the new contract with an increase from £275,000-per-week to more than £350,000-per-week.

In this season, he leads in goalscoring with 14 goals and ties with Chelsea's Tammy Abraham with seven goals to be third in highest goalscorers in league games since the season commenced.
