Leonard Kawhi Drops 38 Points As Los Angeles Clippers Past San Antonio Spurs
Los Angeles Clippers regained their streak on Leonard Kawhi's return, leading the team to outclass San Antonio Spurs at Staples Center by 103-97 on Friday.
Unlike their game on the road to Utah Jazz where they lost by 110 - 96 without the NBA Finals MVP on Thursday, he returned for yet another 30-points scoring streak and put up a double-double streak of 38 points and 12 rebounds with an assist, followed by Montrezl Harrell with 24 points and four rebounds with an assist.
Spurs were into their fourth game and have won all previous three games until traveling to Los Angeles where their win streak got snapped by Clippers to improve to 3-1 with DeMar DeRozan leading the side with 29 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
Spurs kept a close trail of Clipper in the first half but the margin got wider after the break as Leonard shouldered his team to gain a 10-point lead early in the decider - a lead that Spurs could not rally but only trimmed down to single-digit - and claimed the victory to improve 4-2.
Lou Williams finished the game with 12 points, two rebounds, and five assists for Clipper whiles Derrick White picked up 20 points, five rebounds, and two assists for Spurs.
