Kawhi Leonard Leads L.A Clippers To Rout Trailblazers On His Return
Los Angeles Clippers got a boost to their winning streak on Kawhi Leonard's return and claimed a 107-101 home victory over Portland Trail Blazers.
Kawhi finished the game with a double-double of 27 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists followed by Lou Williams with 26 points, three rebounds, and eight assists.
Trailblazers' defeat come at the cost of Terry Scotts' decision to rest Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum in the fourth quarter. At this time, Clippers were in the trail by six point but Kawhi and Lou Williams were able to bring the team in for the offensive.
A combined effort from Leonard and Lou Williams helped helped the team on a comeback after Trailblazers snatch the control of the game to lead from late in the third quarter.
With 32.5 second left to play, Lou connected a vital three-pointer for a four-point lead and Leonard connected two free-throw back to seal the game for Clippers.
Also, it was not a game that Lillard could drop in enough three-pointer as he could only connected 3-in-10 attempt and finished the game with 22 points, six rebound, and six assists. McCollum tied with him with 22 points with seven rebounds and three assists.
