Reds came back from a goal down to level up with Napoli in the second half from Dejan Lovren's strike whilst Chelsea forfeited their lead over Valencia as Daniel Wass equalized for the side with a superb lob-shot that left goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga dazed.
Luck somehow was on Blues' side otherwise the Spaniards were meant to win by a huge margin considering glaring chances they had and a penalty Daniel Parejo failed to convert in the second half whilst the trail Chelsea by 2-1.
Rodrigo inspired Valencia's opening goal with a cross that located Carlos Soler in the box for a tap in the post and Kovacic responded swiftly with an equalizer for Chelsea which was his first goal ever for the side after 71 appearances.

Christian Pulisic doubled the lead after the break after the VAR ruled his goal was valid. The game ended in 2-2 draw following a superb finish from Wass in the 81st minutes.
Chelsea are third in the table tying points with Valencia (eight points apiece) who trailed table leaders Paris Saint-Germain. Both teams will have to win their last game if they will have to qualify for the next round.
The same applies to Liverpool. Despite atop Group E with 10 points but the gaps are so close that they will have to win their next game to come out as table leaders otherwise a defeat would put them in a serious predicament as Napoli and RB Salzburg might just make it through.
