Borussia Dortmund Relaunch Interest In Chelsea Striker Olivier Giroud

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly rekindled interest in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud with the hope of landing him at the club by January transfer window.

the Frenchman has been struggling with making the Chelsea starting lineup as Tammy Abraham has outclassed him for regular appearance, leaving him to be left on the bench. The English forward is the club's top goalscorer and third in the Premier League with 10 goals so far this season.

The Bundesliga side is not alone in the race for the 33-year-old as Inter Milan are also understood to be linked to him as he counts down to his contract expired which is set for the end of the 2019/20 season.

Antonio Conte just added Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United to Inter Milan still, he hopes to boost the frontline with Giroud as the team trail Juventus in the race for Italian Serie A title.

Explaining why Giroud has not been making a regular appearance, his manager Frank Lampard once said this month: "I have got three strikers to pick from and I have to make the choice."

Giroud moved to Chelsea in an 18-month contract from Arsenal in January 2018 and extended the contract in May this year until the end of 2019/20 season. Blues are reportedly demanding £5million for him from the interested clubs.
