Arsenal Executives Assure Unai Emery's Job Is Secured

Apparently, Unai Emery, for now, has nothing to worry about over his job at Arsenal as the club's executives have given him strong backing to continue with his role at without any fears of being replaced.

Emery has come under huge criticism over his men's performance for having to lose 4-in-5 league games, throwing the club down to the sixth position with 17 points and trailing the leading team, Liverpool, by exactly double of its points.

The club's top executives, Raul Sanllehi and Vinai Venkatesham, assured the 48-year-old manager in a statement that his job is secured as there are no plans to scout for his replacement because they "firmly believe he is the right man for the job," according to the BBC Sport.

They added, "We are as disappointed as everyone else with both our results and performances at this stage of the season," they said in a statement. "We are all working intensely behind the scenes to turn things around."

"We never take our fantastic support for granted. We hope we can all stick together and get behind the team in this challenging period, as together we are stronger."

Still, there are reports that the club's hierarchies patience might run out if the team failed to improve and risked being kicked out in the January transfer window, according to a British tabloid, The Sun.

Prior to the 2-0 defeat to Leicester City on Sunday, it was anticipated that the match will determine Emery's future at the club and that former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and  Massimiliano Allegri (former Juventus manager) have been lined up for the job.
