Rapper DMX Checks Himself Into Rehab, Cancels Performance At Two Concerts

DMX has returned to rehab after his struggles with drug addiction kicked back into his life and canceled performing at concerts in Memphis and New York scheduled for this weekend.

The New-York-native announced the cancellations and his return to rehab in a statement released via Instagram on Sunday. It was confirmed that the rapper checked into the facility by himself.

"In his ongoing commitment to putting family and sobriety first, DMX has checked himself into a rehab facility," the statement reads. "He apologizes for his cancelled shows and thanks his fans for their continued support."

X was released from prison in January after serving his sentence of a year jail term for tax evasion at the Federal Court in New York last year. Shortly after his release, he was seen at Kanye West's famous Christian gathering in Malibu.

Nevertheless, It is understood that the 48-year-old has been replaced by Ying Yang Twins and performed at the reunion concert in Memphis and of the Rolling Loud In New York.
