NBA: L.A Clippers Dealt Massive Blow To Golden State Warrior

It was a humbling night for Golden State Warriors on their season-opening game against Los Angeles Clippers. Perhaps, the new team was getting to build up its new fortress in the absence of Kevin Durant, who has moved to the Western Conference as a newly signed player to Brooklyn Nets.

Just like the game against Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, Clippers did not seem like a team getting to understand each other as they claimed a blowout win of 141-122 at Chase Center and extended streak to improve to 2-0.

Clippers started off offensively and controlled the game through the stretch. They entered the decider with a 104-73 lead - a margin too huge for Warriors to make a comeback with their porous defense.

Besides Durant, Steve Curry and Draymond Green could not do much on the offensive against Clippers, playing without Klay Thompson who was ruled out for an injury sustained during playoffs. However, Curry led the standouts with 23 points, four rebounds, and four assists and followed by newly signed D'Angelo Russell with 20 points and eight assists.

Nevertheless, Green was not having the team's poor performance and lashed out at his teammates in a post-match press conference, he said: "I'm not a moral victory kind of guy."

"I'm not looking for something to build off on. We f****** sucked. Our defense was atrocious...off the ball, on the ball, pick-and-roll, transition defense."

Leonard Kawhi put up 21 points, five rebounds, and nine assists but Lou Williams led the side with 22 points, three rebounds, and eight assists. Meanwhile, former L.A Lakers center player, Ivica Zubac, finished the game with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds with an assist.
