NBA: Anthony Davis Drops 40 Points In Los Angeles Lakers Blowout Of Memphis Grizzlies


Anthony Davis delivered a stunning performance in Los Angeles Lakers' home blowout of Memphis Grizzlies, putting up a remarkable double-double of 40 points, 20 rebounds, and two assists.

Since their opening loss to Los Angeles Clippers, Lakers have improved over three successive claiming big wins and last night's performance from AD was a record-setting for the franchise. He powered Lakers through the quarters whilst they trailed Grizzlies by five-points until midway of the third quarter when overtook the lead and went on for a blowout, 120 - 91. 

AD scored most of the points from the free-throw line, connecting 26-in-27 attempts and had to be rested in the fourth quarter after he connected two free-throws with 10 seconds remaining to play in the third quarter. By this time, he had already done a double-double with a milestone scoring.

The combination of LeBron James and the newly-signed forward from New Orleans Pelicans, proved to be an excellent choice as they showed a great understanding of each other on the offensive whilst LeBron kept Lakers' defense solid against Grizzlies.

LeBron really made life hard for Grizzlies in the defense, making blocks and steals and before he was rested with less than six minutes remaining to play, he knocked down three-point shots back-to-back to bring his scoring to 23 points with two rebounds and eight assists.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope finished the game with 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists and JaVale McGee added up 10 points and nine rebounds with an assist.
