Manchester United Set Out For Lyon Forward Moussa Dembele
As pressure continues to build up in Manchester United over the team's performance, its manager, Ole Gunnar Solkajaer, has reportedly sent scouts around for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele ahead of January transfer window.
United's performance has continued in a downward spiral since the 4-0 win over Chelsea in season's opening match, after which it has been a struggle to get a win (W2, D3, L3). Having said that, their hope of recovery was dashed as they lost 1-0 to Newcastle United on Sunday.
It is apparent that the frontline requires a boost to fill in the gap left off by Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, who joined Inter Milan in summer, and the Frenchman is deemed to be one that might fit rightly in for the task.
However, the Ligue 1 side has not stated any fee expected from any interested club for the striker, but Dailymail learned that United are hoping to get a cut-price offer for the player.
Moussa, who joined the club from Celtic in a five-year contract worth £19.7 million in 2018, topped behind Victor Osimhen in the club's scoring chart with five goals in four appearances.
