Former Juventus Boss Massimiliano Allegri Links To Manchester United, Tottenham As Replacement
As Manchester United continued to struggle in league matches under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, there are rumors of links between the club and former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri.
How the club has been faring since the start to the season is not such that can be thumbed up and that has brought the Norwegian manager under strict criticism with speculations of been replaced by the end of the year.
United are in 12th position with little or no hope of climbing up the ladder to top four of the table and as performance continues in a downward spiral, there are fears it might even get worse by the end of the season.
Allegri, who now a manager most hunted for in the Premier League, is currently on sabbatical from management a decision he took last season after leading Juventus to win five consecutive Italian Serie A titles.
He is understood to want to return to management by the end of the season but some Italian media are speculating that he might change his mind with links to top-flight clubs in England.

Besides United, another potential option for the Italian manager is Tottenham, who conceded two big losses in a week, both in the Premier League (3-0 to Brighton)and in the Champions League (7-2 to Bayern Munich). That's not to mention that he watched in the stadium Spurs' defeat to Bayern in the Champions League on Tuesday.
However, Allegri is understood to be top on United's priority should there be a need to dismiss Solksjaer, but the club's Chairman Ed Woodward reportedly wants to give the Norwegian the privilege of time to get things right.
Whilst Ed is having a good think over the situation, former England manager Sam Allardyce believes the club should not be surprised to find itself in the championship. According to him, things can get that bad telling talkSPORT, "They went down with a terrific team on paper [in 1974]."
