European Open: Andy Murray Beats Ugo Humbert, Set Up Final Match Against Stan Wawrinka

Andy Murray delivered a stunning rally from a set down to outclass French player beat Ugo Humbert and advanced into his first ATP final since 2017 Dubai Open.

Humbert started off well and had strong control of the opener but was taken down by more resilient Briton who rallied to win his first semi-final of the season in three sets, 3-6, 7-5, 6-2.

After claiming the opener, the 21-year-old rallied from 3-1 down to level up with the three-time Grand Slam winner and could have forced a tiebreak in the second set but double fault to lose and the match progressed to the decider.

"It's been a big surprise to me. I'm happy to be into the final," Murray admitted. "I certainly didn't expect it to come so soon since I started playing again."

Murray simply breezed through the decider to set up a final match against Swiss player Stan Wawrinka who defeated Jannik Sinner in straight sets.

The Briton is making a debut appearance at the tournament and revealed that his decision to play in Antwerp is because his wife, Kim Smears, is heavily pregnant.
