Charlotte Hornets Lose Third Consecutive Game To L.A Clippers
Charlotte Hornets dropped their third game in a row against Los Angeles Clippers by 111-96 with Leonard Kawhi putting his second 30-point streak of the season.
Lou Williams was another Clipper on the offensive during the game and followed Kawhi in the standouts with 23 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
Clippers came out for the offensive right from the opening quarter and even Hornets broke back to trim down 14-point the lead to a point and overtook the lead, Kawhi propelled Clipper to take back the lead before the half time break.
Clippers would not allow a repeat of 130-122 defeat on Phoenix Suns on Saturday and waded out a rally from Hornets, maintaining an offensive play that kept in the trail through the rest of the second half.
"The first part of a great team defense is the individual, so we have that part down," says Clippers' head coach Doc River. "Now, once we get everybody working together, communicating, them I think our defense can be absolutely, unbelievably dangerous."
Hornets face a great deal of offensive from Clippers in the third and fourth quarters with Lou and Kawhi tearing down their defensive. So also was Montrezl Harrell who finished the game with 19 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
