Champions League: Real Madrid Fight Back To Secure Home Draw Against Club Bruges
Real Madrid fought back strongly to deny Club Bruges a victory at Bernabeu stadium after they have led by two goals only to be levelled with a late finish by a header from Casemiro.
Emmanuel Dennis almost wrecked Real before responded to the lead in the second half to save the team from yet another embarrassing defeat.
The Belgians got ahead of the hosts in scoring very early into the game with lucky opener from the Nigerian international and after half hour of play, beat Courtois to the goal for the second.
Meanwhile, Dennis' first goal was ruled offside until VAR overturned the referee's decision and it was awarded. In the same vein, Real's first goal from Sergio Ramos' header with an assist with a cross from Karim Benzema in the second half could have been ruled out but VAR upheld it to be a goal.
A minutes after Bruges' Ruud Vormer was red carded in the 54th minutes, Casemiro completed the comeback with a header from Toni Kroos' cross for the second goal that levelled for Real.
However, defeat could have dealt a huge blow to the Spaniards chances in Group A following the 3-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the opening match, which Zinedine Zidane faced a huge criticism for.
Real Madrid remain in the bottom of Group A with a point - same as Galatarsay - and Bruges are second with two points which Paris Saint-Germain lead with maximum points of six.
