Antonio Ancelotti Links With Zlatan Ibrahimovic For Move To Napoli

As Zlatan Ibrahimovic counts down to contract expiration date at LA Galaxy, Napoli has shown strong interest in signing him to the team in January when he will be a free agent.

Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, and the club manager Antonio Ancelotti both reportedly want to bring the Swede back to Europe but that will only depend on the player's interest to accept a move to join their team.

In an interview with TV Luna on Tuesday, the former Chelsea manager confirmed links to the 38-year-old and hopes to get a deal with him when asked about his interest in the forward.

"He is a friend," Ancelotti revealed. "I met him, not as a footballer, but as a normal person in Los Angeles because we shared the same hotel."

In Zlatan's professional career that has lasted through 20 years, he had at some points played in the Italian Series, where he won the league title three times at Inter Milan and once at AC Milan - on his loan move from Barcelona before he retained at the club.

Giving his reasons for his need for Zlatan despite his age, he added: "On the pitch, he seems like one type, but really he is completely different. My desire would be to see [him] in our jersey. It's more than just a suggestion, but it's up to him."

However, Zlatan's two seasons at LA Galaxy have not yielded any silverwares unlike spells in Europe but has been an incredible form despite his age scoring 52 goals in 56 appearances.
