Xavi Tips Raheem Sterling As Top Priority Should Barcelona Make Him Manager

As Ernesto Valverde's future at Barcelona continued to be gloomy, his prospective successor Xavi reportedly has tipped Manchester City as his top priority should he be giving the job.

Ernesto is falling out of favour with the club and has been under pressure for his team's unimpressive start to the season having improved W3D1L2 to be fifth in the table behind their arch-rivals Real Madrid, who are in the lead with 14 points.

Sterling's form has consistently improved at the club and is a key factor in the team's frontline, having a total of 25 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions in last season during which Manchester City became the first club in English football history to win domestic treble - Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup.

Xavi is not managing any club in Europe but in far away Qatar at Al-Sadd, but for that anticipated deal for Sterling be secure, Barcelona will have to cough out £150million - the price tag on the English player.
