Tiwa Savage Calls Off Performance In South Africa


Tiwa Savage is not having the horrific xenophobic attack on foreign nationals in South Africa that took the world by surprise for days and has decided to call off performing at the DSTV Festival in Johannesburg later this month.

SA was widely condemned when clips of bloodletting perpetrated by angry hoodlums against immigrants surfaced online with damnable footage of victims being torched, macheted and stoned to death in broad daylight.

The Lova Lova singer joined the outcries against the act of horror meted out to immigrants describing how the victims were being murdered as "butchering". In effect, she wrote in a tweeted message that she will not be showing up for the oncoming festival.

"I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA This is SICK. For this reason, I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September," she tweeted.

Before to her reaction, a male singer named Damini Ogulu otherwise known as Burna Boy had announced boycotting the country and called on his compatriots to leave and avoid being attacked.
