Rihanna Kicks Off Savage X Fenty Show At New York Fashion Week

Rihanna did not come short of expectation at the New York Fashion Week as she led star-studded models to stage the much anticipated Savage X Fenty lingerie show at the event on Wednesday.

Dressed in a skin-tight lace and wearing a pair of high-heels, had a black cloth wrapped around her waist and moderately accessorised standing centre stage in the midst of models such as Alek Wek, Cara Delevingne, Joan Smalls, Laverne Cox and R&B singer Normani.

This season's Savage X line ranges from comfortable bodysuit leisurewear to ornate satin and lace lingerie, with a push-up t-shirt bra and lace-up bodysuit.  

"My vision for the Savage X brand has always been having women feel confident and expressing themselves," Riri said in a clip from behind the scene. "We want to make people look good and feel good. We want you to feel sexy and have fun doing it."

The use of mobile devices was restricted at the event but footage of the Barbadian singer's lingerie show will be stream on Amazon Prime on September 20.
