Nicki Minaj Retires From Music To 'Start A Family'


It is the end of an era for Nicki Minaj in the music industry following a shock announcement of her retirement from a career she debuted with a mixtape album 'Playtime Is Over' in 2007.

To the amazement of her fans and totally out of the blue, the Barbie Tingz rapper wrote in a tweeted message on Thursday, that she has "decided to retire" basically for the reasons that she plans to start her own family. 

"I've decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now," she wrote in the tweet. "To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box-cuz ain't nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE." 

Nicki is currently in love with Kenneth Petty, with whom she has been speculated to be planning to get married and start a family together. Aside from that, she has also teased of their plans to get married anytime soon possibly this year on her Queen Radio program on Itune. 

"We filed for the marriage license and we still had to pick it up and I was travelling by the time I came back, we had to renew it again. From that time, you have 90 days to get married. That was a week ago, so now I have about 80 days," she told her audience.
