Manchester United Considering Going After West Ham Player Declan Rice
Manchester United reportedly interested in West Ham ace Declan Rice and are planning to go after him in January transfer window, but the midfielder has been speculated to be only available for a record-signing fee.
The player was previously linked to United in summer when Paul Pogba's link to Real Madrid hit its peak, unfortunately, it happened that the interest was later was called off. They are now understood to be reconsidering interest in the 20-year-old who they deemed fit to give the team a boost in the midfield.
As revealed by former Leeds United forward and sports pundit, Noel Whelan, the player is expected to be signed for what might potentially topple that of Harry Maguire, who United signed for £80 million from Leicester City making him the most expensive defender in football history.
"West Ham have got a really special player on their hands," Noel told Football Insider and also mentioned that Hammers are going to struggle to keep him at the club consider the quality of player he is made of.
He added, "I think Declan Rice could be the next player who goes for a Premier League record fee. We have just seen Harry Maguire go for £80million and I wouldn't be surprised if Rice goes for more than that, above £90million, even."
In summer, two strikers left United to join Inter Milan - Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez - and the team are currently in eighth position in the Premier League table having struggled win matches in their start to the season (they have so far W1D2L1).
