Little Mix Star Reveals Attempting Suicide Over Vile Comments

Little Mix star, Jesy Nelson, has opened up on her struggled with mental health issues that devastated her to the point of attempting to end her own life over vile comments she was getting on social media.

The 28-year-old and her bandmates were shot to limelight on the backdrop of winning the X-Factor in 2011, but fame soon takes its tolls on Jesy, who was bombarded with hate comments. It got so bad she could not tolerate it and would starve just to look acceptable in photos to avoid being fat-shamed.

"Don't get me wrong, I still have days when I feel s**t in myself but instead of beating myself up about it and being miserable, I think: 'Ok. I'm going to have my moment of being sad, and I'll get over it," she said on her fight with mental health.

Mind you, before she could be able to control her emotions and shut her mind away from committing suicide, she had approached her bandmates and management over the situation but could not get the right help needed.

Before she finally got the right advice that helped her through, she revealed she had made up her mind "to be the person who was like... 'I don't care what people are saying about me. I'm this strong woman" rather than allow those comment to tear her down.

Fortunately, she found help from a dancer who suggested she stayed away from social media accounts for her own benefit - that was when the group toured with Demi Lovato across the United States.

That unprofessional advice did her great good and confessed that things have not been the same ever since. She now holds the notion that "people are always going to have an opinion" but will only care less about what their view is about her.
