Ligue 1: Neymar Gets Booed On PSG Return, Scores Acrobatic Winning Goal To Beat Strasbourg

Brazilian forward Neymar made his first appearance for Paris Saint-Germain after a failed link move to Barcelona and did not get warmth welcome from the club's fans either. In the end, he scored the winning goal with an acrobatic kick against Strasbourg in injury time.

Strasbourg had successfully held PSG to a goalless 90 minutes and expectations would have been that it will finish in a draw against PSG, but Abdou Diallo located the Brazilian in the box with a cross from the left flank and he wasted no time to finish it off with an overhead kick that bounced off the right pole into the net.

After the 27-year-old brilliantly hauled in the ball in such a manner than an average teammate would have not - a spectacular display of skill peculiar to players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo - the fans reaction was in-between booing and cherishing. Meanwhile, he was heavily booed when his name was mentioned at the start of the game.

Speaking after the match, Neymar said that was not the first time he is getting booed by the fans. Nevertheless, he mentioned, "I made it clear I have nothing against the fans, nothing against Paris St-Germain as a club...I am not going to get into the details of what happened."

Barcelona made every effort to re-sign their former player but PSG required that Nelson Semedo in the £157million deal offer to them. Eventually, all talks failed as the transfer window wound down.
