Lewis Hamilton Explains Reasons Mercedes Lost Three Races In A Row To Ferrari

Mercedes, for three races now, has been plagued by losses to their arch-rivals, Ferrari. It became done on the title leading team that they have been caught off guard by their rivals, who have been in the best forms by the way they won Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday.

Monegasques driver, Charles Leclerc, been dominating the qualifying session, claiming three successive pole position and was set for a hat-trick in final until he was stunned by his teammate Sebastian Vettel to came off to win his first race of the season in a one-two finish for Ferrari.

Five-time Champion Lewis Hamilton is unsettling for the way his team has faring since summer break after Hungary GP and has called out to the team to more hungrier for winning just as their rivals are currently showing to be.

"I knew that we should have undercut. I knew it this morning as well in the brief," Hamilton said admitting his team was set to lose in Singapore. "I was like I should take the risk, but they didn't. But we win and lose together as a team so we will take this on our chin."

In his opinion, things will only change if his team will only "step it up" rather than having to be "dragging their feet" instead of fighting hard for the victory.

He added, "It feels like they are hungrier than us. We've just got to step it up...We've just got to stop dragging our feet and get on. We'll debrief or huddle, get back in the scrum and come back fighting at the next race"

Even Mercedes boss Totp Wolff reckoned with his driver's opinion admitting that the team failed to optimise what we could have optimised."
