Italian Serie A: Mario Baloteli Scores First League Goal In Brescia Away Defeat To Napoli
Mario Baloteli has scored his first goal in the Serie A in which he last played in 2015 at AC Milan and registering in one for Brescia' in 2-1 away defeat to Napoli.
Brescia could have sealed a draw with the host but the VAR ruled out an equalizer from Sandro Tonali. Nonetheless, they were faced with huge pressure from the hosts especially Dries Mertens, who kept breaking into the box.
Napoli had led the game with two goals from Mertens' shot to finish a pass from Jose Callegen from inside the area and Kostas Manolas' header on the brink of the half time before Ballotelli found the back of the net in 67th minutes.
The former Manchester City forward leapt for a header that caught Napoli goalkeeper Ospina totally unaware from Tonali's cross following a corner.
Balotelli was making his second appearance for his hometown side whicb he joined in a three-year deal from Marseille in August. He made debut appearance for the team in 1-2 defeat to Juventus.
