Europa League: Arsenal Win Big In Opener Against Eintracht Frankfurt

Arsenal claimed a huge 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the opener of the Europa League with huge contribution from Bukayo Saka

The teenage winger was impressive in his second appearance for the side, scoring his first goal at the club and inspired two others in the team's victory over Frankfurt.

Just as Arsenal had some scoring chances before the opening goal from Joe Willock's deflected shot inside the area in the first half, the Bundesliga side did opportunities score but Emiliano Martinez made some incredible saves to keep the side ahead.

It was not until the second half after Dominik Kohr had been dismissed that Arsenal doubled the lead with a superb finish from inside the box by Saka and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang followed with the third goal with three minutes left to play.

The victory was Arsenal's first victory against a German Bundesliga team since in six years as they remain unbeaten in their sixth group stage matches at the competition.

"We knew tonight was going to be difficult," Arsenal manager Unai Emery said. "They fell back very deep and caused us problems early on. We recovered the ball well and the young players showed the confidence to take their chances."

Having won the game, Arsenal topped Group F followed by Standard Liege both with maximum points. Frankfurt sits at the bottom of the table behind Victoria Guimaraes.
