Anthony Joshua Is Hopeful Of Reclaiming Belts From Andy Ruiz Says Rival's "Reign Will Last Until December"

Anthony Joshua is confident of one thing and that is reclaiming the belts lost from heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz in their rematch fight scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia on December 7.

Ruiz defeated AJ in a seven-round knockout at Madison Square in New York on June 1. It was such an unexpected loss that has left Aj's popularity dwindling as his fans and rivals were amazed by the way he was floored four times by the Mexican-American, who became the first heavyweight champion natively from Mexico.

Until his fight against Andy, AJ had been unbeaten in 22 fights having 21 knockouts and holding four heavyweight titles - WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO. He will now have to fight to reclaim the title from the underdog.

Speaking at a press conference, AJ acknowledged his rival as the reigning champion and maintained that will only last until December when he will have to put down his belts and fight.

"I was up against a good challenger at the time and as I mentioned I was only a champion until June 1st," AJ said. "And as Andy is champion right now, that will last until December 7. Until he has to put his titles in the air and two warriors go to war and the best man will walk out victorious."

AJ floored the Mexican first in the third round before he responded and shockingly floored him in the same round. The blow to the head left AJ dazed and confused remembering nothing - Andy floored him twice again in the seventh round before the referee called off the fight.

That statement from AJ seemed not to pull a string on Andy anyway. He remained confident of holding on to the belts and not with a doubt of beating the former heavyweight champion once again. He also admitted he is aware of his preparedness but that will in no ways stop him.

"Anyway, Anthony Joshua is coming hard. He is gonna come strong. I know he's been preparing really good, but so I am. People saying that I'm not training, I'm not taking it seriously but come on, I've got all these belts and there is a lot of responsibilities to these."
