Adele Files For Divorce From Estranged Husband Simon Konecki

British singer Adele has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Simon Konecki just five months after their separation was announced.

The couple had been together for nearly eight years before their separation in April. They both shared a six-year-old son Angelo together before their relationship hit the rock.

Adele's breakup from Simon was announced by her representatives who in a statement released to AP confirmed "Adele and her partner have separated" and that they have decided to jointly raise their son  Angelo. 

Meanwhile, rumours of their separation began to swell when the 31-year-old was spotted without her wedding ring and weeks later news of their separation followed.

Expectations would have been that filing for divorce will be in the United Kingdom but it is understood the 'Hello' singer filed for that in Los Angeles, California where they have a property and where Simon business is located.

They were last seen together in public in January when they attended Elton John concert at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Thereafter, Adele was spotted at a gay bar without her husband but was with a female friend in New York.
