2019 Best Fifa Football Awards: Lionel Messi Wins Best Men's Award, Jurgen Klopp Takes Best Men's Coach
Lionel Messi has emerged as the winner of this year's Fifa best men's player award dor the sixth time in his football career.
The Barcelona contested for the prestigious prize against Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, who the winner of UEFA men's player of the year award.
In best coach category, Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp beat his Premier League rivals, Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) and Mauricio Pocchettino, to be named best coach of the year.

Klopp had a fantastic outing in last season when he won the Champions League title with Liverpool and finished the domestic league as runners-up behind Manchester City.
The German said in his speech that the prize is what he wouldn't imagine to win some years back and thanked the club and his team for the support giving him by their performance in matches played in all competitions.
"Nobody will expect this, 20 ten, five, four years ago that I would be standing here," Klopp said. " To the owner thank you, they gave me an incredible team. I have to thank my team - as a coach you can only be as good as your team is. I'm really proud of being manager of such an incredible bunch of players."
