Premier League: Wilfred Ndidi Denies Chelsea Victory Over Leicester City

Wilfred Ndidi redeemed Leicester from defeat to Chelsea securing a much-needed goal to draw the match 1-1 at Stanford Bridge as Blues remain winless in two straight games.

It has been a bumping start to the season for Chelsea, who had a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Manchester United last Sunday, followed by losing the UEFA Super Cup to Liverpool in a shoot-out.

Chelsea were posed for their first victory of the season with an early goal from Mason Mount snatching the ball off Ndidi just and drove in to slam a low cut shot home for the opening goal.

The Nigerian international make up for his costly defensive error and leveled the scores in the second half with a header to James Maddison's cross following a corner.

The second half was dangerously poor for Chelsea as their defense was repeatedly penetrated by Foxes with Maddison inspiring the teams to dominate the game.

Hence, Leicester came out stronger and hungrier for goals which they could have gotten with Maddison and Jamie Vardy coming very close but sent shot wide from close range.

The game finished with Chelsea's new manager Frank Lampard is yet unable to end the drought making him the club's first manager to have lost first three games in six years after Rafael Benitez.
