Premier League: Liverpool Claim 4-1 Win Over Norwich City In Perfect Start To The Season
Taking the maximum points in the first match gives Reds a perfect start to the season and as most would expect of top teams that an unbeaten run is crucial to staying atop the table. It did not take long for Reds to get a goal as Norwich captain flicked in a cross from Divock Origi for an own goal.
Mo Salah hit home a pass from Robert Firmino from inside the box for the second goal and inspired the third goal delivering a cross from the corner to Virgil van Dijk, who planted the ball in with a header.
Before half time, Liverpool had rattled in the fourth with Origi powering a header home from Trent Alexander-Arnold. Teemu Pukki managed to get a consolation goal for Norwich in the second half but the game would progress to full-time in Reds' favour.
Speaking of goalkeeper Alisson who left the pitch for an injury, Jurgen Klopp promised to "find a solution and move", however, admitted the team has issues with injuries.
