Neymar: Barcelona Offer £93M Plus Philippe Coutinho, Two Other Players To Paris Saint-Germain

Barcelona talks with Paris Saint-Germain to bring Neymar back to La Liga, have reached advanced stage and are considering a deal offer £93 million plus three players which includes Philippe Coutinho, Nelson Semedo and possibly Ivan Rakitic to secure to return.

Representatives of the Catalan club flew into Paris on Tuesday and held a midday meeting with their counterparts, initially with the hope working out a deal for £74 million plus Phil Coutinho, but that was met with outright refusal from the French side.

Expectations from PSG was that Barca would cough out the amount spent on the forward since he moved to Paris, that however, is not in the reach of Barca which then added two more players - Ivan Rakitic and Semedo - to the deal. That negotiation position is yet to be ratified by PSG.

Race for Neymar intensified when Real Madrid joined in with a deal offer £149 million and when its manager Zinedine Zidane was asked about their interest in the Brazilian on Sunday, he admitted they are already making moves. He said, "Until September 2, anything can happen."

Since Barcelona wouldn't like to see a former player like Neymar in the arch-rival's team, the club president Josep Maria Bartomeu quickly reacted and sent his sporting director Eric Abidal and two other top executives to meet with their counterparts in Paris and negotiate a deal - Bartomeu reportedly will meet PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi on Thursday in Liverpool.

Neymar, who won the Ligue 1 back-to-back in two seasons spent at Parc des Princes, did not feature in the team's league opening match on Sunday and was ranted at by the fans who in their songs were asking him to leave the club.
