Manchester United To Fine Romelu Lukaku For Missing Training

As Romelu Lukaku's chances of leaving Manchester United hangs in the balance, the club reportedly will fine him for not appearing in trainings without permission.

It was expected that Lukaku will be on his way to Juventus in a swap deal with Paulo Dybala, but United ruled out interest in the player stating that his agent's demands are overboard.

Having missed out on Juventus, his only hope is Inter Milan which remain strongly linked to him despite United rejecting their initial offer of £54 million. The Italians manager Antonio Conte maintained that Lukaku is top on his priority list and he views him as one who can make great impact on his team.

United's aim is to recoup the amount paid in deal with Everton to secure his move to Old Trafford in 2017 and Inter Milan have not been able to meet up. However, they have until Thursday to have a deal done before window closes in England. Bear in mind that the window remains open until August 23 in Italy.

Lukaku scored 12 goals in 32 appearances in 2018-19 season when his position in the team was challenged by Marcus Rashford, who made more starting line-up under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer than he would with former manager Jose Mourinho.
