Manchester United End Interest In Juventus' Forward Paulo Dybala
Manchester United have chosen to end any interest in Juventus forward Paulo Dybala who was meant to move to the side on a swap deal for Romelus Lukaku. The decision, however, does not mean the club will not be interested in talks with any interested clubs.
Lukaku was previously linked to Inter Milan which were unable to meet up with the club's demand of £72m deal offer before Juve joined in to bid for the Belgian offering it Argentine forward.
Stating the reasons behind their decision, United blame wage demands by the player and his agent's fee and would rather prefer a player who wants a long-term stay at the club. Meanwhile, United had agreed to deal term with Juventus last week before backing out of any further talks.
"Manchester United looking at other No. 10 options after ending interest in Paulo Dybala. There will be no deal with Romelu Lukaku," an insider reportedly tweeted on Sunday. "Dybala's heart not in moving to United, wants to stay at Juventus. Wage demands and agent fees also too high for United."
United has until Thursday to do a deal for Lukaku otherwise the Belgian might be forced to stay, but his manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is letting him go with the view of replacing him with teenage attacker Mason Greenwood who has only made three appearances with the team.
