Laurent Koscielny To Leave Arsenal For Bordeaux In £4.6M Transfer
Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny is near leaving the club as he has requested after an agreement has been reached with Ligue 1 side Bordeaux for a transfer fee of £4.6m.
The French player has been keen on leaving and did not join the team in their preseason tour of the US. He had refused to renew his contract with the club on the position that he want out as free agent but Arsenal refused and would end contract a season earlier for him to be free.
In just a matter of hours, the 33-year-old is set to complete his move to the French side as he will be having his medical on Tuesday.
Laurent, who joined Arsenal from Lorient under Arsene Wenger will bring his nine years spell outside Ligue 1 to an end on his return to his home league. He won with Arsenal, three FA Cup, two FA Community Shield and as UEFA Europa League runner-up in 2018-19.
