Jay-Z, Will Smith To Produce Docuseries Of Emmett Till For ABC


Jay-Z is known to have been involved in the making of docuseries that have to do with exposing social injustices faced by African Americans such as Trayvon Martin and Time: The Kalief Browder Story. Now, he has got yet another project to work on with the ABC and it has to do miniseries inspired by Emmett Till: Murder That Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement written by Devery S. Anderson. 

ABC Entertainment is working on a series they've themed Women of the Movement, which is a project HBO has left off in the shelves for four years until Dana Walden, Chairman of Disney Television and Studios tipped it for upcoming series to be streamed by the network.

The project, which intended to bring contributions of women in the civil right in the United States and relives Till-Mobley tales of horror of how her son was mutilated and murdered in 1955, will not only be handled by Jay-Z but will also have in the team Will Smith, Marissa Jo Cerar from The Handmaid's Tale and Aaron Kaplan.

According to Deadline, the first eight-episode season of the series will draw inspirations from a book written by Devery S. Aderson titled Emmett Till: The Murder That Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement.
