Deadline Transfer: Tottenham Sign Reals Betis' Giovani Lo Celso, Arsenal Bring In Kieran Tierney

Real Betis' midfielder Giovani Lo Celso completed his move to Tottenham on deadline day and was signed to a season long contract on Thursday.

The Argentine was the option of the table for Spurs after Barcelona ace Philippe Coutinho declined a loan move to the Englsih side. Importantly, Christian Eriksen's potential exit was another reason that culminated in need to tidy up the team's attacking midfield up.

Lo Celso stands the chance to remain at the club as the deal included an option for him to switch to permanent after a season spell is completed.

The 23-year-old moved to London for his medical on Thursday after both clubs agreed to a deal for him on Wednesday.

Also on deadline day, Arsenal signed Scottish left-back Kieran Tierney for £23 million from Celtic.

"We're delighted Kieran is joining us," says Unai Emery, "He's a very talented player who will continue to improve. He increase our options defensively."
