Damon Dash. The relationship between him and Jay-Z dated back to Roc-A-Fella Records days when they were business partners running the label. That was then. His position on Hov's signing a deal with NFL doesn't sound like one that is having it at all.
Speaking to Adam 22 on No Jumper podcast, Dash opened up on his take on his former business partner and clearly he is not sharing the same stand with him.
The 48-year-old joined the likes of other celebrities who have been critical of Hov on the deal and called him out saying that "he's about the bags."
"If you ask anyone in the industry it's a common knowledge that Jay ain't s**t," Dash said on the podcast. "He's about the bag. We all know that. He's self-preserving. Period."
Jay-Z whose real name is Shawn Carter, has for sometimes being running sports businesses under is record label Roc Nation as agent for some players in the league.
However, this deal he secured with the NFL is comprehensive in terms of handling music shows for the Super Bowl and social justice enforcement in the league.
Mind you, players of African American descents have been critical of some issues that has to do with injustices meted out to individuals from their communities - not to forget that Colin Kaepernick football player in the centre of this issues.
