Arsenal: Unai Emery Wants Mohamed Elneny, Shkodran Mustafi To Leave
It is apparent that Shkodran Mustafi and Mohamed Elneny's stint at Arsenal will soon come to an end and their manager Unai Emery has indicated that to the pair.
Emery gave a candid advice to both players to seize this European transfer window to leave the club as there place in the team has already taken. He told the Sky Sports that the "positive for them to leave" Arsenal before September 2.
Neither Mustafi nor Mohamed has made an appearance in the team since their start to the season and according to Emery they have not been happy about it.
"I want the players to be happy here, I want the players to be protagonists here," Emery told Sky. "Last year, for example, with Mustafi and Mo, when they didn't play, they weren't happy."
He added that what he thinks is best for both players is "to be protagonists in another team, to sign and to get another challenge" for themselves in their new teams.
Mustafi who joined the club from Valencia in a £35 million transfer in 2016 has scored seven goals in 84 appearances in all league matches while Elney has non in 46 appearances.
