Anthony Joshua Claims "The gods" Influenced Defeat To Andy Ruiz Jr.
Anthony Joshua seemed to have solved the mystery behind his shock defeat to Andy Ruiz, who walked away with three belts - IBF, WBA, and WBO - to become the first the Mexican to be crowned boxing heavyweight champion.
Explaining what went wrong and cause, the former heavyweight said on AJ: The Untold Truth, that his defeat was influenced "by the gods" and empowered him with "a lucky punch" landed him on the floor.

Heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr walked away with three belts - IBF, WBA, WBO after knocking out of Anthony Joshua in seven round. |
Ruiz beat Joshua in a seven-round knockout but the damage had been done to him in the third round when he knocked him down leaving the then reigning champion concussed for the rest of the fight.
"I don't know what concussion is, but for sure, after the fight, I didn't know what round," said Joshua admitting to memory loss after the first knockdown.

AJ had first knocked Andy Ruiz Jr. down in the third round |
Meanwhile, Joshua had first floored Ruiz in the third round before he was caught off with a left hook that sent down and never recovered from that impact. Yet, the Briton maintained that he is a better fighter than him saying, "I'm just shocked it took Ruiz Jr. another four rounds to get me out. Let me concuss Ruiz Jr - he won't get back up."
There is hope for Joshua to reclaim his belts from the Mexican-American at the rematch, which has been scheduled to happen on December 7 in Saudi Arable - a venue which Ruiz has disputed preferring it to be taking back to the United States instead.
